Create Dinners No. 12
A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of connecting with some badass females through the community Create Dinners. Innovated by the lovely Kate Pauley, the purpose of Create Dinners is bring together a group of talented women from all different walks of life and business to connect. Occurring only a few times a year, for each Create Dinner, everyone brings a talent to the table, so to speak. As an event planner, these types of gatherings are right up my alley, so I was honored to help play a small part in curating the evening.
Bloom
The theme for this evening of Create Dinners was “Bloom”. Kate wanted bright, colorful orchids to be the accents of the table, so we incorporated matte black plates to keep a clean, modern feel without pulling focus. Adding a few candles gave the space warmth without feeling like a stuffy formal affair.
It was so inspiring meeting and talking to these wonderful fellow female entrepreneurs and inspiring ladies. It made me realize that even though we all work in different industries, we have similar struggles, hopes and dreams. We each had a question at our place setting and bounced around the table answering them and sharing about ourselves. I was humbled to have spent the evening with a great community.
Thank you Create Dinners for the most wonderful evening! It reminded me of my own community dinners that I once tried to launch, the Local Table, which is now becoming a podcast, and reminded me of why I’m so passionate about supporting other women.
