That my life would change forever in starting this business and running it for the past 9 years; all while experiencing the joys and hardships of being an entrepreneur. However, I wouldn't change it because I love being my own boss and making the impact that I know I can make on my clients. To make a greater impact through business, I support and donate frequently to Everytown for Gun Safety. As a gun violence survivor, it's important for me to take this issue head on and support gun reform in every way I can. 

I started this business in 2014 after getting laid off from a job that I was starting to feel miserable in and knew life didn't have to be this way. Fortunately for me, it gave me time to reflect and figure out what I wanted to do. I had a background in nonprofit work, event planning and photography but was trying to figure out what that looked like. That following summer, I went on a mission trip to Haiti. While I was there I was capturing the stories of the people who lived there and sharing them through my photography work to raise money for a nonprofit to help fund the community clinic. After I came back, I realized that I wanted to start my own business doing what I love so I could make the impact that I wanted on the world and in my own community. I wanted my business to support nonprofits that I championed and it’s a joy to be able to give back but also bring joy to people through helping them create such a memorable experience for their wedding and through my art of photography. 

I'm a big coffee snob and in 2020, I bought an espresso machine at home to learn how to make lattes. My other dream business is to open a mobile coffee cart or shop. I think fall weather + wearing sweaters is the best time of the year next to Christmas. I’m a true donut connoisseur (Randy’s donuts in LA are my fav!) and any type of Asian cuisine will win me over, Sushi, Ramen, Pho, let's go! I think photos are one of the most important things to have in life, especially old photos from generations before and I think printing photos to have in your home is so important with everything being digital. 

I'm a proud small town farm girl from Iowa. I love traveling, the outdoors and camping. Yosemite is one of my favorite places in the world (if you haven't been, please go!) I can speak enough Spanish to get by and hope to one day be completely fluent. I believe wholeheartedly in the goodness of people, standing up for what you believe in and that kindness goes a long way. Thanks for being here and supporting my business.
