A few fun things about me! I'm a big coffee snob and recently got an espresso machine at home to learn how to make lattes. I think fall weather + wearing sweaters is the best time of the year next to Christmas. I’m a true donut connoisseur (Randy’s donuts in LA are my fav!) and pizza and tacos are my kryptonite. I think photos are one of the most important things to have in life, especially old photos from generations before.
I'm a proud small town farm girl from Iowa. I love traveling, the outdoors and camping, + Yosemite is one of my favorite places in the world. I can speak enough Spanish to get by and hope to one day be completely fluent. I believe wholeheartedly in the goodness of people, standing up for what you believe in and standing firm in your convictions. I believe in constantly educating myself to be better and do better through books, webinars, podcasts, honest conversations and building relationships with people from all walks of life. I’m so excited you’re here and I can’t wait to connect! Thanks for stopping by, friend!
Most days you can find me in my office space designing weddings and planning the most epic celebrations for clients. I am mostly known for providing my clients with a killer wedding planning experience and throwing epic parties. I love educating and teaching other entrepreneurs about business and helping them to grow their company. I’m also the host of The Local Table podcast which educates + inspires other entrepreneurs to get after their dreams.
I started this business in 2014 after a mission trip to Haiti. While I was there I was capturing the stories of the people who lived there and sharing them through my photography work. After I came back, I realized that I wanted to start my own business so that I could do something I love with weddings and photography but also give back to communities most in need and do good in the world. I wanted my business to support organizations in my community and around the world and it’s a joy to be able to give back. Check it out below to see some of the organizations I give back to.

Everytown For Gun Safety: Everytown is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities. As a survivor of the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas, it's important to me that we make efforts to ensure gun safety in America. We can make the world a safer place to live in and it starts with advocating for change.
Good City Mentors: They provide inspiring mentorship for inner city youth in the city of Los Angeles. The leadership program helps them from falling off track by positively impacting student engagement, achievement and graduation rates. I’ve volunteered with them directly and have seen the power of mentorship.
The Loveland Foundation: Loveland Foundation is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Their resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing. We believe therapy is important for all women and that every woman should have access to it, especially Black women and girls.
Black Lives Matter: Their mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, they are winning immediate improvements in their lives.
