A Glam and California Infused Wedding at the Viceroy

If you think of a stuffy ballroom when you think of a hotel wedding, one look at the Viceroy Santa Monica will change your mind forever. This venue was the perfect place for a glam and California infused wedding for Samantha + PJ. Samantha found me via Instagram and was living in Nottingham at the time with her fiancé, PJ. Sam’s family is from Australia and PJ’s family is from Ireland, so they decided on a destination wedding. They wanted to bring their families to a place special to them and somewhere that was middle distance for families to fly. So they landed on LA!

These two have so much fun together and they wanted their day to be fun for all their guests! To incorporate those California vibes into the big day, they headed to the Santa Monica pier for some of their photos. If you know the Santa Monica pier, there are rides and games for everyone! It’s not everyday a bride and groom are willing to get on a rollercoaster in full glam! I mean the photos are so incredible and so fun, be sure to check them out below!

Merging Glam and Cali

The design inspiration was a bit of a 1920’s vibe infused with that laid back California vibe. We decided to keep things clean with white and black and adding a few touches of greenery, touches of gold and some color with the bridesmaids dresses. This color palette worked so well because the Viceroy already had the black and white color scheme happening. The ceremony aisle was lined with trendy monstera leaves and pampas grass and it was the perfect combination to bring the space to life. Things like balloons and an incredible gold moon backdrop gave the hotel space personality. One of my favorite elements was the personalized lollipop set as place cards! It was such a fun treat for guests. The best part about getting married at a hotel is that you can walk up to your room at the end of the night!
