A beautiful blend of traditions at a private estate in Montecito
Every wedding is special, but the nuptials of Vish and Matt’s at Butterfly Lane Estate in Montecito were truly magical! Surrounded by lush greenery, this private coastal estate was the perfect backdrop for Vish and Matt to celebrate their love. We kept the design simple with wooden signage and greenery with white and pale pink flowers to flow with the venue.
I always tell my couples their wedding day should be a reflection of themselves so I was so excited when Vish and Matt wanted to honor their heritages by combining traditions from both Hindu and Christian weddings. Matt participated in a baraat processional and Vish donned the most stunning white sari, and then later changed into a beautiful wedding gown. They exchanged garlands in addition to rings, circled the sacred fire and pronounced sacred vows. Upon entering the reception, the wedding party waved flags representing India, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy and America. It was a fun way to include all of their friends and family that had traveled from afar and represent those guests from all the different countries from around the world and bring them into the celebration. Vish was such a joy to work with throughout the process and I felt honored to be a part of their special day and walk through the planning season with her and Matt. Congrats to Matt + Vish and a lifetime of love and adventures ahead!
