A Boho Festival Themed Wedding at Triunfo Creek Vineyards
Meet Keri + Tyler. Two of the coolest and most rad couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with for their big Boho Festival Themed wedding day in Malibu. Keri and I met for coffee and she told me about all her ideas for her big day and we just instantly connected. (Plus, our names are the same with one minor vowel change.) Keri and Tyler were getting married at one of my favorite venues, Triunfo Creek Vineyards, which is perfect because it feels like a blank slate to design a wedding.
Stars + Festival Design Inspiration
Keri wanted a theme of under the stars; it was a huge reason why they picked the location. She wanted the feeling that their guests could be dining and dancing underneath the stars all night. Additionally, Keri and Tyler love music festivals, so we knew that it had to be incorporated in some way. While dreaming up an inspiration board, we included fun festival themed details. We infused signage that felt like a festival “lineup”, a will-call ticket booth (where guests could find their seats), table numbers named after their favorite bands. Other design details, like the menus, infused our second theme of under the stars. Below is the inspiration board to give you an idea of what we used throughout the planning process.
Non-Traditional Ideas
A big thing that I always tell clients is to really make your wedding your own. If that means infusing some non-traditional things or details, do it! It’s your day and you might as well make it feel like it represents you both. I don’t believe that there is a right or wrong way to do a wedding. As long as it’s what you want, your guests have a great time celebrating you both, and you’re married at the end of the day, do what you love. That’s why we infused so many details that meant so much to them and that were special to them. Guests knew that the wedding day represented Keri and Tyler and I think that’s one of the coolest things. Mix your wedding up and add those touches that make you feel at home and make you feel special.
Enjoy The Season of Being Engaged!
I’m grateful for clients that want to go the extra mile for their guests and also for themselves. We had a lot of fun during this planning process and I think that is one of the most important things you can do, is to have fun and enjoy it! Being engaged is a special season and I firmly believe that it shouldn’t be a stressful time. It should be a time of growing with your soon to be spouse, learning to make decisions together and getting excited about celebrating with all your loved ones and what’s to come.
