Pantone Color of 2017 – Green
I figured today would be a fitting day to share this green wedding from last year with Ashley + Raul, since it’s St. Patrick’s Day and all. They were ahead of the game, utilizing the Pantone Color of 2017. I got to know Ashley through another friend and client’s wedding from the year before and was lucky to be a part of their beautiful wedding in Downtown LA a year later. It took place at Hubble Studios and was a really simple and casual ceremony that turned into just one big party with all their loved ones surrounding them.
Minimalist Decor
We flipped the ceremony space for reception by using the same benches and adding long, modern farm tables. Instead of traditional catering, they had a taco truck and an ice cream truck for their guests. One of my favorite pieces, besides the bride’s dress, were the florals designed by Amy at Hello Honey Flower Co. Inspired by the pantone color of 2017, she created modern centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres by keeping them simple with beautiful, lush greenery. I’ve always had a love for greenery and this wedding stole the show! I mean just look at Ashley’s bouquet: understated yet beautiful!
Remember to make your wedding uniquely yours! Honestly, rules are out the window. It’s your day where you become one, your day to celebrate with friends and family, and your day to dance the night away, no matter what that looks like. (good or bad moves)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends! Don’t forget to wear green or risk getting pinched! Enjoy the beauty of this wedding below!
