An Intimate Rehearsal Dinner With Texas Sized Fun
Welcome back to this month’s series of wedding updates! I’m taking you along for the ride during my wedding planning journey all the way from our engagement to the big day! Last week, I shared details about my bachelorette party in Cabo (plus some tips on how to plan yours!) and this week, I’m excited to share about our intimate rehearsal dinner.
I’ve discussed before what to expect during your wedding rehearsal, but the dinner afterwards is a whole other event to plan. Because we had a destination wedding, Jeremy and I knew the rehearsal dinner was our opportunity to spend one-on-one time with our family + friends. We kept the guest list small inviting only our wedding party (plus spouses) and family members. We took the time to thank everyone for traveling and for all their love + support. To spoil our guests with the amazing food in Texas, we had dinner at Salt Lick BBQ. After dinner, we all went back to the AirBNB for toasts and more drinks before the big day. It was absolutely perfect!
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Perhaps one of the most sentimental parts of our rehearsal dinner was being able to wear my mother’s wedding dress. My sister-in-law generously offered to alter her dress, which meant so much to both my mom and I. Being able to wear such an important piece of my parents wedding day during my own wedding experience is something that I will forever cherish.
Stay tuned, friends because next week I’ll be sharing sneak peeks of our wedding! However, if you’re looking for more rehearsal dinner inspiration, check out this casual rehearsal dinner, this country themed welcome dinner + this colorful sangeet!
