A Contemporary Wedding With Pastel Colors in DTLA
Welcome back, friends! I’m back with another sneak peek of a wedding just too good not to share right away. We returned to one of our favorite spots in DTLA, The Grass Room, for our clients, Olivia + Brian’s big day! (You may remember this rainbow inspired wedding at The Grass Room and that jaw dropping arch). For Olivia + Brian’s wedding, we leaned into the muted pastel colors in the reception space and kept the same palette for the remaining décor. By using more earthy, muted tones, we were able to keep the event modern + sweet, but not “candy coated”, as pastel weddings can sometimes veer. Additionally, the flowers chosen were surprising + unique which helped give everything a fresh take.
I love the style of The Grass Room so much! It feels like a perfect mix of modern + mid-century with loads of nature. Afterall, there’s a reason they say plants boost your mood! And Olivia’s dress and amazing bridal cape added to the contemporary vibe of the day. Seriously, I see more bridal capes sweeping the bridal fashion trends because the mood they create is undeniable! It’s such a great way to add drama as you walk down the aisle!
Congrats to these cuties, Olivia + Brian! Remember, these photos are just a small preview of their beautiful day! Be sure to stay tuned for all the gorgeous photos!
