TO the Feathered Arrow blog. I'M Kari! A WEDDING PLANNER, PODCAST HOST, BIZ EDUCATOR, AND A LOVER OF COFFEE, ALL THINGS OUTDOORS + A SUCKER FOR A GOOD LOVE STORY.
Welcome back to The Local Table Podcast! We’re talking to Rachel Letham, a business coach working with successful, yet stuck, online female business owners. She shares her tools and techniques in one-on-one sessions to help her clients achieve business growth while leading more fulfilling lives. Having had a very successful 13-year career in a senior position in the produce industry, Rachel has experience in growing business and managing operational success. Rachel helps clients build a positive mindset for success, gaining clarity in their direction, and purpose in their business. She writes regularly to her network on the power of self-care and supporting day-to-day life, and has launched the Self-Care Survival Kit deck of cards to help bring self-care to the masses.
Rachel is based in East Sussex in the UK and works with online female businesses and corporations. She’s all about bringing positive mindset, self-care strategies and mindfulness into the business and corporate settings.
As a self-proclaimed “Queen Of The Side Hustle”, Rachel started her business coach career 2 years ago, while working a corporate job. She was working with a network marketing company, but quickly realized the only part of that job she enjoyed was the personal development side. So after 10+ yeas in the corporate world, she began working part time so she could build something creative. While on holiday after getting married, she was reflecting on her life and decided to move forward. She bought a domain name with her newly married last name and it built her business-coaching career from there!
As a business coach, Rachel brings a lot of her corporate background into coaching but not in a mental way. It’s more about knowing how to ask her clients questions that allow them to get the answers for themselves. Therefore, she works with the CREATE Model; an acronym system to help clients work through their dreams and goals.
CR – Current Reality: Where are you now? What is your current day to day and lifestyle like?
EA – Explore Alternatives: If you’re unsure of what do to, brainstorm. What is your perfect day look like and how do you feel at the end of the day?
TE – Target Energy: This is about raising your energy levels to keep the momentum towards achieving your goals. Rachel uses this to switch clients to a “supporting belief” system. Getting rid of negative energy and self-talk in order to raise positive energy.
The entire CREATE process takes about 6 sessions over the course of several weeks/months. It’s important is to give yourself the time and space to do the work. Then while clients are diving in, Rachel introduces mindfulness to keep them present and on track.
