Olivia has been in business for 3 years and got started by graduating from undergrad in New York and moved to California. Got a job doing design at a commercial real estate firm. While she’s grateful for everything she learned, she quickly realized her passion wasn’t in commercial real estate. After a conversation with her mom, Olivia decided she wanted to go into business for herself.
Olivia feels branding is so important because as humans, we are conscious consumers. People want to research and know more of what they’re buying. Especially before a high-ticket offer. Therefore, if your branding isn’t on point, you can’t position yourself as an expert.
“Branding is establishing the foundation of your brand – it is not just a logo, it is your messaging, your vibe, it’s the personality of your brand, it’s the language you use, it’s the colors, it’s the fonts, it’s the way you position yourself in the market…” If it’s not clear what you do…then you are going to have a hard time positioning yourself and attracting those ideal clients”. You will always be evolving but make sure you have a logo and brand that will grow with you and your business.
Olivia’s biggest tip for branding for business success is to know what services you’re going to provide and for who. From there, you can focus on having a beautiful online presence. Olivia stresses that you don’t have to pay someone for branding to get started on your business. Do what you can at first, then after about 6 months, invest in more specific branding needs.

Olivia’s biggest motivator is thinking about the client experience. She has a high touch point, luxurious client experience. How do you want your client to feel when they’re in contact with your brand at every touch point?
The most common mistake Olivia sees is designing your logo for you and not for your ideal client. The second most common mistake is not being clear on your services and not being consistent online. It may seem silly to focus on colors and fonts, but it all really matters because that’s how you create brand recognition across platforms and built trust with clientele. Lastly, if your website is a mess, it’s better to just have a landing page until you can spend more on your website.
