Why Mood Boards Matter
The design process is one of my favorites! It gets me excited and ideas start flowing of all the possibilities. With my partial and full planning clients, I create design or mood boards for us to use throughout the planning process. It’s great for inspiration as we bring other vendors on board and to help us stay on track to keep the aesthetic the way we want. Pinterest is a dream and a curse, but this is merely inspiration for us to move forward and come up with our own creative ideas! I’m not going to lie but I’m pretty feakin excited for these! All of them are taking place in 2017 but I can’t wait to bring these visions to life! So here’s a peak into my process.
Vineyard Wedding Mood Board
First up! Danielle + Andy’s Triunfo Creek Vineyard Wedding. This aesthetic is soft, clean, minimal, modern, and romantic! Lots of neutrals, whites, and greens to play with. I mean we’ll be on a vineyard, so we know it’s going to be gorgeous!
Ojai Wedding Mood Board
Next is Kathleen + Stephen’s Ojai wedding! This aesthetic has a desert vibe, a little eclectic, and unique with bright pops of color and flowers to make it stand out. The colors we’re focusing on are midnight blues, sage green, and a light pink. Ojai, we’re ready to transform you at Red Tail Ranch!
Rustic Wedding Mood Board
Lastly, is another Triunfo Creek Vineyards wedding for Kristin + Greg. Their aesthetic is elegant, rustic, and romantic. There will be some awesome touches throughout this wedding with great custom pieces from Hue Creative! Their colors are blush, navy, darker pinks, and whites. Let’s just say, Timmy D’s lounge and bar is happening and it’s going to be pretty awesome!
Hopefully you’re feeling inspired! Do something this week, that inspires you. Even if it’s 10 minutes. Work those creative muscles! You’ll be glad you did!
